The Florida Frontier began in 2006 as a response to the overwhelming appearance of liberal bias in the UF school newspaper, the Alligator. There have been numerous attempts at starting a conservative paper on the UF campus, but none that have made it to the second year of distribution, until now The Florida Frontier printed its first issue in its second volume in September of 2006. It is now a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and publishes 2000 copies of every edition.
